SSSTS & SMSTS Course Revision
The CITB Site Supervision (SSSTS) and Site Management (SMSTS) safety schemes are the standard site-safety qualifications for supervisors and managers in UK construction. SiteSafetyPlus helps you revise for the end-of-course assessment with 900+ practice questions across both schemes — plus the everyday tools you'll use on site.
What are SSSTS and SMSTS?
Both are Site Safety Plus courses run by CITB. They sit alongside — not instead of — your CSCS card and HS&E test, and are widely required for supervisory and management roles on site. Each certificate is valid for five years, after which a refresher is needed.
SSSTS — Supervisor
The Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme is a 2-day course for foremen, gangers and supervisors. It covers supervising health, safety and welfare on site.
SMSTS — Manager
The Site Management Safety Training Scheme is a 5-day course for site managers, agents and those with management responsibility for safety on a project.
