Who needs the Operatives test?
The Operatives HS&E test is the standard CSCS card test for general construction workers, labourers, and skilled workers. You need to pass this test to obtain or renew a:
- Green CSCS Labourer card — for general labourers and unskilled workers
- Blue CSCS Skilled Worker card — for tradespeople and skilled construction workers
The test consists of 50 multiple-choice questions covering Core Knowledge health and safety topics. You must score at least 45 out of 50 to pass.
